Small is something I have been interested in for a long time and the latest project has thrown a few curve baqlls into the equation like how to add interest with unusual fixtures/fittings.

This render is still WIP and has been chopped to equalise colours and light levels, not by much.

Another view, with the original peace dove mirror, it does need to be resized.

Hi Mike, Nice renders. In my part of the world, those stairs are a problem. No rail, the dangerous winder, and maybe head room clearance? Why the fence? Sorry, its the "Architecture 101" in me that is asking. I like those wall mounted lights however.

Hi Wes, thanks, the whole thing is evolving and the stairs will gain a rail at some point, when I work out how it should look probably.  Here in the UK that shape and others like it are common place.  We tend to have smaller dwellings anyway and stairs get fitted where there is a space.  The wall lights were literally a ten second bodge just to put something in place because ceiling lights were just not working.

The fence is intended to prevent anyone falling down the stairs from the first floor, something of a room divide/railing combination.

Interesting idea but, I think cleaning up the mess would be a pain in the chair after a while.  It takes soooo much effort to get blood out of carpet, as for good quality stained wood floors......

We Americans are too clumsy. My texting daughter would slip on the short end of the thread. :'(

We can all do it, I have been down more than a few of those on my chair and in the sitting position.  Makes for a very sore coccyx in the older library's with cast iron steps.

I rethought the stairs and am playing with my own ceiling lights.
