Wish you could use the same lighting component (e.g. overhead cans) and select one to dim it down whilst leaving all the others the same. Also wish you could walk around your rendering in 3D without reverting back to the SketchUp preview...

It may be an odd comment but, have you thought of right clicking and selecting 'make unique'?  It is the strandard method for giving a component individual properties.

Um?  I have done this before for other components, but not for lighting...I will give this a try and see if i can isolate one can at a time.
Question:  Have you seen any pre-built lighting components that simulate LED strip lighting?

I have not come across led strip lighting.  There was a chap who got the same effect but that was with v1 and some time ago.  I am hoping we will have the ability to import ies files which will solve that one but when is something I am not in the loop on.

Perhaps if enough of us ask for it there will be more priority assigned.
