I wanted to add to Dave's post to say that we, like other SU developers, had just recently received  the beta to SU8 and were starting to work on it.  Google was silent as to when they expected to release v8; however,  our experience with prior releases, had been that the beta test period would last for at least another month.  Their announcement at this week's 3D Base Camp that v8 was now shipping caught us, and other SU plug-in developers, by surprise.  We are scrambling though to get everyone an updated version with SU8 compatibility.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Hi,

Just an update, I installed Sketchup pro 8 into the same directory as previous version (Sketchup pro7) to save installing all the components and plugins again and all the pluggins and IDX work OK.

I am using IDX Renditionier version 1.1.5.78 build 78

How this helps

Regards

Jerry

Thank you for the swift reactions.
@ Jerry:When I installed SU8 it created auto a separate map. Isn't it dangerous for conflicts between the 2 versions when you put them in the same map?

I have installed SketchUp Pro 8 on Windows 7
when I try to install IDX Renditioner a message comes up saying that I have to install Google SketchUp first. Looks like IDX doesn't see SketchUp on my machine. Also tried to rename the Google SketchUp 8 folder to Google SketchUp 7 or 6 but nothing.
Any Help?
Thanks

Mike

Guys.

Have a look at the post's further up and you will see that there is a compatibility problem with SU-8.  this is due to the lack of time the team have had with SU 8 to go through development and compatibility testing.  Give them time and they will sort it out, in the meantime they cannot 'send help'.

Just be patient and this will be fixed.

Hello

I want to buy Renditioner to use with SketchUp.  If I buy it now and use it with SU 7, will I have to pay for an upgrade when a newer version of Renditioner comes out that's compatible with SU 8?

Just wondering.

Also, how do I take advantage of the $149.99 price?  Is there a promo code?  When I click on the "purchase" button it takes me to a page where the price is shown as $199.99.

Thanks

Mike

There will be an updated build of v1 or a 'patch' to make v1 compatible with sketchup v8.  If you buy v1, you will have to pay to upgrade to v2 when it becomes available.
