Hi IDX,

May I ask why the material editor of V1.2 for Mac has less functions then V1.1, and where did the preview go?

Sorry Tony, I missed this and it is down to me.  The build of 1.2 which I posted should have gone to the beta testers and not the general forum.  This is why it has been removed.  There was also a pretty major bug which was discovered to late for my error to be discovered.  Mea culpa.  There will be a build for 1.2 when they have sorted the error, sorry Tony, I let you guys down not IMSIDesign.

But now, v1.2 (not beta) has been announced by monizuka, but it has still less functionality then v1.1 so Tony explained.

Can you clarify this statement/question?

Where is the loss of functionality and what is missing?  Come on mate, general comments like that cannot be rebutted or answered as they give no information.  If you point out what you think are failings folk can talk with you about them and see where help can be given.  Ta.

Sorry, but my english is not so well. I meant, that in the official publication are still the same deficits than in beta.
(have a look at Tonys screenshots) You cannot adjust the material and you donīt have a preview.

I do not know tha mac system so I cannot give actual advice, it would be nice if Tony could chip in with what worked for him, or if the situation is still the same on his machine.  If there are enough reports of this is might be something worthy of another look by the developers.

Hi All,

I installed V 1.2.2 on my mac system using SU Pro 8, and I have the same limited material editor that is pictured above. It's less capable than the V1.1 material editor. I'm not sure if the version of 1.2 I have is a beta or not if it is a beta, I'll continue using V1.1 in SU7 and wait patiently for the new V1.2 to be released. Or, if there is any more information I can provide, please let me know!

Perhaps it's been answered elsewhere, but are there added features or functionality improvements planned for V1.2 or is it simply a compatibility update for SU8 users?

Best,
Masco

Given V2 is not available for the Mac, I'd say us Mac users are screwed. 1.2 just seemed to add compatibility with SU8, but now that 2 is out, the bugs will likely remain.  :-[  >:(

It would be nice if IDX gave us Mac users an upgrade path to a competing product, just dropping the app with known bugs really isn't good.

It's certainly not the end of the world. My workflow just changed a bit so I'm drawing in SU8, and when it comes time to render, I just fire up trusty SU7 and render the graphics. I appreciate you all looking into the bug! Can't wait to hear about a fix. Good luck!

The suspense is killing me ;D

An update on whether V2 is coming to the Mac would be good - if 1.2 is the end of the line, I'd like to know so I can look at other products.
